Brothers only
Join us for another Halal Meetups brothers-only hike, this time exploring Shoal Hill Common at Cannock Chase.
We’ll meet at the Cocksparrow Lane car park and walk a circular route through the woodland and heathland of Shoal Hill Common, insha’Allah.
Shoal Hill Common is one of the quieter parts of Cannock Chase, with a mix of woodland, open heath, viewpoints and trails. The route is beginner-friendly, but there are some uneven surfaces, loose stone paths and inclines, so please come wearing suitable footwear.
We’ll meet at 11:00am and aim to begin walking shortly afterwards.
The walk itself should take around 1½–2 hours, depending on the pace of the group and how often we stop. This is not a race or an extreme hiking event. The aim is to walk together, enjoy the outdoors and meet other Muslim brothers in a relaxed halal environment.
You absolutely do not need to know anyone beforehand. Many brothers attend these events on their own, so don't worry about coming alone.
📍 Meeting point
Shoal Hill Cocksparrow Lane Car Park
Cocksparrow Lane
Hatherton, Cannock

Please make sure you navigate to the Cocksparrow Lane car park, rather than another entrance to Cannock Chase.
💷 Cost
The cost to attend is £7 per person.
This helps cover event organisation, platform costs, coordination, future events and continued development of Halal Meetups.
🚗 Travel & lifts
For travel and coordination, please join the brothers' WhatsApp group if you are not already in it:
https://chat.whatsapp.com/DLs2HBCXoQFK5eGykMnDYQ?s=cl&p=i&mlu=2&amv=0
We’ll use the group to coordinate how everyone is getting there, whether that’s driving, public transport, taxi or needing a lift.
When registering, you’ll also be asked how you plan to get there, whether you need transport and whether you have spare seats available for other brothers.
If you’re able to offer someone a lift, please do. The aim is to make it as easy as possible for brothers to attend.
